Christmas in the Park

By Tomas Iriarte

Come see our Tree at Christmas in the Park

When you think of December, one of the first things that comes to mind is Christmas. Whether it be the presents, the snow, or the carolers knocking from door to door, the holiday cheer is all around. In San Jose specifically much of this can be seen downtown at the San Jose tradition Christmas in the Park.

It is not only a must if you’re a San Jose resident or just happen to be in the area to attend these festivities. This year Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful has had the honor of having a tree on display at the park. If you find yourself staring at the Nativity scene make sure to take a peek to your left and you will see us on display.

Staying true to our nature, we made trash into treasure. All our ornaments were items that we found at the creek during our monthly cleanups. This varies from balls to toys and even items we can’t describe. We helped gather you, our volunteers and more, to help with the cleanup after the flood at residents’ homes or at the parks.

This year has been landmark with our organization officially becoming a 501(c)3 non-profit. We keep Coyote Creek beautiful but also enhance the areas that the creek doesn’t touch.

Make sure to go get your picture with our tree and hashtag #CoyotecreekSJ before it comes down on January 1. We hope you all have a Merry Christmas and an even happier New Year.
