Our next creek cleanup is along Kelley Park on Saturday, July 22. During a walkthrough of Coyote Creek from Kelley Park with General Parks Manager Nicolle Burnham, we came across some interesting finds. One was a huge group of geese that had settled in the park, happy to enjoy the water and the grounds.
The second was a huge collection of balls, all sizes and shapes (from the ninja rubber ball to a football) that we hope to get out of Coyote Creek and showcase as a funny problem due to our own disregard for keeping our storm drains clean and preventing balls from playgrounds to enter the creek.
We hope you’ll join Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful and Kelley Park/City of San Jose Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services at our community creek cleanup on Saturday, July 22 from 9 AM – 12 PM. Balls beware!
