The Creekbeds are Dry: Let’s Haul Out More Trash
by Deb Kramer
I was talking with two city staff members in July, and we thought that with the creeks so dry right now, we should hold a community challenge to remove that legacy trash that has been embedded in our creeks for years. Hence, the Summer Clean Creek Challenge. The goal:
10 cleanups
10 tons of trash removed
1,000 volunteers
