Scout's Adventure continues to wow people, and its latest "wow" factor comes from the Friends of the Estuary where the project received the 2025 Environmental Project Award. This award is where the "Friends of the San Francisco Estuary celebrate the most outstanding environmental projects of the region at the biennial State of the Estuary Conference. Awarded projects have demonstrated that they significantly benefit the San Francisco Estuary and further the goals and objectives of the 2022 Estuary Blueprint."

We're so proud to have been selected for this outstanding peer recognition at the biennial State of the Estuary Conference on October 29th. See our post about this wonderful award.
Thanks to our staff, Deb Kramer, Aja Yee (former), and Molly Curtis with Paul J. Gonzalez Studios for working over the past 2 years to create a highly interactive, multi-sensory watershed presentation for K-5 students. Learn more here.
We are deeply grateful to our sponsors Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, Whale Tail Grant, and Applied Materials Foundation for their commitment to environmental education.
KCCB won this award in 2015 as part of a group effort for the South Bay Creeks Collaborative, including the City of San Jose and SJSU.
